Uxbridge, UK – Xerox Europe and FUJIFILM Europe, have announced an agreement for FUJIFILM Graphic Systems to be a reseller of Xerox digital presses, which will increase opportunities for both companies in the growing hybrid digital and offset printing systems market.
This agreement unites two of the graphic arts industry’s leading brands and makes Xerox digital technology more accessible to the customers of FUJIFILM Graphic Systems.
Effective from July 2007, the framework agreement between Xerox Europe and FUJIFILM Europe which confirms a business scope covering the European territory will drive to start business through FUJIFILM’s existing Graphic systems distribution channels, potentially in all countries but initially in six countries, France, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Sweden and Finland, where local level preparation has started. FUJIFILM will sell Xerox mid range and entry level production colour and monochrome digital presses. Additionally, FUJIFILM will work with Xerox’s direct sales force to identify sales opportunities for the Xerox iGen3 Digital Production Press. Xerox will provide service and support for the digital presses. Opportunities to further extend the agreement to other countries where FUJIFILM Europe operate, in both Europe and beyond, are being explored.
“FUJFILM has one of Europe’s best graphic arts distribution networks, really strong customer relationships as well as an in-depth knowledge of digital colour printing, and adding Xerox products to the portfolio will provide customers with access to a powerful solutions line-up,” said Valentin Govaerts, Senior Vice President, Production and Graphic Arts Industry, Xerox Europe. “This agreement is evidence of the strong relationship between Xerox and Fuji, and our commitment to work with and through customer preferred relationships” he added.“Xerox is the clear industry leader in delivering advanced digital colour presses for the graphic arts market,” said Naohiro Fujitani, General Manager, Graphic Systems, FUJIFILM Europe. “Pairing Xerox digital equipment with the powerful FUJIFILM portfolio deepens our comprehensive range of products and services. It is also worthwhile for us to boost sales for the products Fuji Xerox supplies.”
This agreement builds on the success of a similar one, announced in 2004, that covers the United States of America and Canada.
